■Jusaburo-kan
This is "Jusaburo-kan," which contains a hall and a studio of Japanese dolls made by crafts master Jusaburo Tsujimura. Whenever new works are completed, the dolls on display are replaced by the new ones.
"Hello, I"m Jusaburo, and this is my studio. You may watch me making dolls here. Please, come and have fun," says Mr. Jusaburo Tsujimura.
■Daikannon-ji Temple and The Cast-Iron Head of Bosatsu
This is "Daikannon-ji Temple," which many local people have faith in. It is estimated that the cast-iron head of Bosatsu is made in Kamakura era.
■The Birthplace of Junichiro Tanizaki
Junichiro Tanizaki, a well-known modern novelist was born here in 1886.
■Hatsune
This is "Hatsune," serves traditional Japanese sweets for 165 years. They are popular for using strictly selected domestic ingredients. This is their original Anmitsu.
"Please, stop by if you come to Ningyocho, and try our Anmitsu," says the 7th owner.
■Miharado and Dolce
This is "Miharado head store," a long standing store for Japanese confectioneries. They are famous for "Omamori-Monaka."
This is Dolce, placed on the second floor of Miharado. You may enjoy coffee and their handmade pastries, viewing Suitengu.
"Please, stop by when you visit Suitengu Shrine," says the manager.
■Nihonbashi Theatre
This is Nihonbashi Theatre, placed in Nihonbashi Community Center. The hall contains 440 persons. A variety of events, such as comedy show, Kabuki, and so on are held here every day.
"This is Nihonbashi Theatre and Nihonbashi public hall for traditional performing arts and other purposes. Please, make use of this hall," says the manager of Nihonbashi Special Branch Office.
■Symphony
This is Royal Park Hotel that has the most advanced establishments in a favorable location. In the main lobby, there is a beautiful chandelier、imitating The Milky Way. Behind the lobby, there is "Symphony." They serve various meals mainly by buffet, and they change the menu monthly.
"We recommend buffet for both lunch and dinner. We prepare a variety of dishes cooked with seasonal ingredients. We are looking forward to serve you," says the manager of Symphony.
■Suitengu Shrine
This is "Suitengu Shrine." At the most, about 5000 expectant mothers and the families visit a day from various places.
"Suitengu Shrine is well-known across the country for safe delivery, pregnancy, and avoidance of disasters by water," says the chief priest of the shrine.
■Shigemorieishindo
This is Shigemorieishindo, located across from Suitengu Shrine. They provide "Ningyo-yaki," which is a traditional Japanese sweet, with thin skin and a large amount of bean jam.
"We provide special products of Ningyocho, " Shigemori Ningyo-yaki" and "Zeitaku Senbe." Please, come by when you come to Ningyo-cho," says the 3rd owner.
■Gyokueido
This is "Gyokueido," a well-standing store for traditional sweets of Kyoto. They have been in business for 400 years. This is "Gyokuman," that has five layers of bun.
"Gyokueido is located on the corner of Ningyocho Amazake-yokocho. This is very popular "Torayaki." Please, come and try some," says the staff.
■Itakuraya
This is "Itakuraya," another Ningyo-yaki store. The artisans make ningyo-yaki, following the tradition, with light sponge cake and a good deal of bean jam.
"We are proud of our Ningyo-yaki, filled with bean jam, as our town is filled with warm hearts. Whenever you visit our town, Ningyocho, please, stop by at Itakuraya," says the 4th owner.
■Ningyocho Kameido
This is "Ningyocho Kameido," the other ningyo-yaki store. They only use eggs, sugar, and honey, but flour. Their ningyo-yaki has thick skin and bean jam, which is not so sweet.
"We follow the tradition and make fine products. Please, try the ningyo-yaki of the old standing store, Ningyocho Kameido," says the staff.
■Western Restaurant Kiraku
This is "Western Restaurant Kiraku" that has first opened as a street stand after the war. It is fun to watch skillful cooking from the bar seats while you wait for your meal. This is fried beef coated with breadcrumbs.
"This is one of the popular menu, "Beef-Katsu." We would love to help you feel satisfied with our meals," says the 2nd owner.
